OuroPlatform is a comprehensive smart metering platform for advanced metering infrastructure (AMI). It provides a full stack of tools for remote meter reading, device management, and energy data collection across multiple meter manufacturers — all within a unified, cloud-native, Kubernetes-ready system.

OuroPlatform brings together key components to cover the entire metering lifecycle:

OpenHES is the core communication engine of OuroPlatform, designed to manage and communicate with energy devices such as smart electricity meters. It uses modern technologies for efficient device management, data collection, and data storage.

With its scalable and extensible architecture, OpenHES enables seamless integration with smart meters from various manufacturers and supports multiple communication protocols including DLMS/COSEM, enabling communication over GPRS, NB-IoT, PLC (G3-PLC, PRIME), and other technologies.

Its primary goal is to optimize data collection and processing in the energy sector as part of a complete advanced metering infrastructure.
